Sophie Loves The Beatles!!!

This morning as I have been checking my email, I turned on some Beatles classics, Yesterday, Blackbird. Sophie, leaned as far forward in her exer-saucer as she possibly could, smiling, listening intently, and tilting her head back at times as though she were swooning.

I think she's too young to swoon, but she was definitely swooning.

Last night TJ and I (mostly TJ, I went to bed at Midnight) finally finished our Saturday afternoon project of tearing down our old shower surround walls, and putting up some new ones, (which we found for only 28 dollars!!!). What was supposed to be an easy, afternoon project, turned into fixing plumbing, tearing out our old walls completely, drywalling, mudding, painting, oh, and putting in some new studs.

We also started watching Planet Earth last night. If you haven't seen it or haven't heard of it, go find it and watch, the footage is incredible!!!

One more of Sophie's latest

Every morning when Sophie wakes up she looks at me, smiles, then she sticks her tongue out and blows raspberries. I usually blow raspberries back to her and this carries on for some time. She thinks it is pretty fun, and I am pretty sure she thinks it is comical too since she laughs when she does it.

When do I start teaching her about offensive noises?

JUST SAY NO!!!

I am fasting from desserts for two months. Here are some of my most recent adventures.

Day two, February 12:

Went to Sam's club to buy DESSERT for the Tri-ward activity. Those old ladies were handing out Carrot Cake. (I LOVE CARROT CAKE, and I love free samples). I went right over and grabbed one, then grabbed another to hand to TJ. He (obviously remembering my goal to fast from dessert) gave me a very confused look,

"What are you doing?" He queried.

"Well, don't you want one?" I responded.

"No, what are you doing?" He repeated.

"TJ, it's Carrot cake, don't you want one?"

"Ummmmm Dessert fast?" And I finally understood.

That was a close call! As we passed by this temptress later, she had samples of NY Cheesecake. TJ partook, while I salivated.

Day four, February 14:

Made a special Valentine for TJ out of No-bake cookies and angel food cake. I picked up a few morsels at one point brought them right up to my lips saying to myself, "It's not a whole dessert." But then I grew strong and threw them away.

Laban and Carly brought over an entire plate of GOODIES. (Thanks Laban and Carly, And Trey) I, so far, have resisted!

Caution!!! or A Lesson Learned.

Do not hang a baby over your face just after they've eaten!

Luckily, I closed my mouth just in time!
